my dog seem to love her poo i tried beeting her to it and pick it up but most times she wins she is only 17wks and has been doing this for about 2/3wks now since then she will not eat her puppy food we have tried changing her food but it has not helped can she come down with health problems through this and will she go back to her food we now have to give her what we eat and she will eat it please can you help with any suggestions.

Two things you can try. One is to put something like "ForBid" in her food to make her stools unappetizing. The other is to take her outside on a leash to potty so that she has absolutely no chance to eat her stools. Yes, if she has parasites, she will keep reinfesting herself. This is a very nasty habit that can be very hard to break once the dog starts doing it.

At 17 weeks, she is starting to teeth, and her mouth is probably sore. Try wetting her food with a bit of warm water.... and stop feeding her people food. Once you start catering to a dog's bad eating habits, it just gets worse. If she walks away from her bowl, pick it up and offer her nothing else until her next scheduled feeding. Keep repeating this until she starts eating again.

Make sure you are feeding a quality food like Eagle, Canidae, Wellness, Solid Gold, or Flint River Ranch. The first ingredient should be a meat protein, or preferably a meat meal, there should be a minimum of grains, and there should be NO by-products in the food. Also make sure there is no menadione (source of vitamin K activity) in the food.
