fleas & scratching himself

We have bathed him to kill fleas,bought collars,and the expensive flea drops for once a month. Nothing helps he is a small dog,and I hate too see him suffer all the time. He
scratches constantly.He is my baby Please help us.

Have you tried using meds like Advantage, or the monthly tablets used for fleas? His skin might be too sensitive for a topical solution (the flea drops).

You should also double-check that his bedding is changed and/or cleaned really good, as flea eggs can be harbored in them, so the poor dog is constantly being attacked by new generations of fleas.

My sister swears by Brewer's yeast in the food to ease on flea infestation; never tried it myself, but it could also help your dog's poor skin.
