Question
i am keen to purchase a second family dog. i have seen a 3year old white bull mastiff dog with no current health ailments. i am under the impression that white dogs have a high prevelance of suffering from multiple complications such as ear infections and skin conditions. is this true? is there an increased association between white coated dogs and additional health problems. many thanks, dog lover, UK

Answer
Thanks for your question and sorry it took so long to get back with you.  The white boxer is the only breed that suffers from heath problems and its not because there white.  More then 80% of white boxers born are born deaf and some blind.  When they come out completey white it is manditory that they get check right away for solid white is not one of the boxers colors so it is very rare that one that is this color would not be deaf.  Hope this helps.  Let me know.  Kati
