sudden dog death...

Question
My brothers dog died over the weekend with no warning signs. she was a rott/lab mix. he had given her a bath and she was acting acting normal.
she dried off not being in the sun and it was not a hot day. she was not in his sight for 10 minutes when he found her in the back yard laying lifeless.
there was a fresh stool next to where she was laying
but it appeared that she she and used te bathroom like dogs do do sitting. the vet said there were no
bite marks on her and that he did not know why she died without a atopsy. Rudy-the dog did not throw up or give any signs of being in pain or discomfort.
thanks

Answer
Hi Cesar,  I am sorry to hear about your brother's dog passing away this weekend.  Unfortunately, the vet is right, without any marks on the dog there is no way to tell why the dog passed without a necropsy (animal autopsy).  They will need to look at all the organs and run tests on them to see what could have possibly gone wrong.  They can figure out if the heart stopped suddenly and if so, what might have caused it.  I wish I could give you more answers.
