diet for pregnant cocker spaniel

i have a field trial very active cocker spaniel which i have just put into pup and need some advice on diet to get her to gain some weight as she is thin and small build and will only lose more condition through the pregnancy, early days so far 1 week, i have cut out her 5-6 mile walks twice a day, any suggestions?

a female should be feed a puppy food just before, during pregnacy, and nusing the puppys to maintain weight and help nutitionally. you should consult your veterinarian for more information on feeding during welping. Aslo reducing the exersize is the best thing you can do.
