hi. my 6 yr old american eskimo suddenly stopped sleeping im my room with my husband and I after 5+ yrs.He now sleeps downstairs all by himself... No recent changes - we have a 2 and 4 yr old and haven't moved or anything. He seems like a sad sack, - what might cause this change in behavior? should I be worried ?

I would personally feel better if he were taken in for a vet check. Dogs sometimes show illness in strange ways and try not to show it at all. Since you've had no real changes in your life, the sudden change in his behavior , especially at his age, would definitely concern me.
Hopefully the vet will find nothing wrong. Please update me after his appointment
