Question
if my dog has ticks what should i do i try to. i tryed pully out them with my fingers i dont know what to do. hopefully i can get help

Answer
The easiest thing to do is to apply Frontline or something similar over the dog's shoulders, and the ticks will die within a day or two. You can also take a pair of tweezers to the ticks, but you must be careful to also remove the heads of all the ticks.

There is one other method that I have tried, and it *really* does work, although not quite as quickly as I was told. Put the dog in the tub and apply liquid hand soap to each tick, being sure to get the soap onto all of its parts. Gently massage the soap all over the tick... smothering it, I would guess. Within a minute or two, the tick will release its hold and sort of slide away. This really did work for me, but it does require a bit of patience. http://members.aol.com/mrbritmor/tick.html
