dog needs to gain weight; very thin chi dog;

Question
I took in this little girl @ a week ago. She is 8 yrs old with bad teeth and under weight.  She weighs @ 3# and you can see HR ribs and backbone. She was and still is eating iams. Puppy food(hard) with no problem. She will not eat anything else. I have been force feeding her with a syringe babyfood chicken. I have her vet papers and she was just there @2 months ago. I've wormed her again.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will take her back to the vet if I need to just trying everything I possibly can first. Thank you for your time.

Hi Chris, Don't let anyone do a dental cleaning on this little Chi.  I don't think she would survive the anesthesia at this point.   She needs to gain some weight and build up her immune system.
I know the VET will want to do the Dental Cleaning on her ASAP.
Please be aware that she needs to be in a little better physical conditon before you go that route.

Continue with the baby food and add some puppy formula to the baby food:
