Potty Training an Adult Dog Whos Training Has Lapsed

Question
QUESTION: I have two fawn female pugs.  One is almost 5 and one is almost 4.  The 4 year old was potty trained although she would go to the bathroom in the house on occasion if she was roaming free during the day or sometimes in the middle of the night on my bed.  She NEVER let me know when she would go in the house she just did it.  The last three weeks she has been out of control.  She has been peeing, pooping, diarreah, and puking (sometimes) in the house, on furniture, and in her crate.  She goes to the vet regularly and is on heartworm and tick prevention.  If she was sick I would say it's becuase she is eating grass when we go for walks and it may be treated with pesticides.  However, I did start seeing someone 6 weeks ago and he has been staying the night a lot lately.  I haven't taken her to the vet yet because I get the feeling it's a behavioral issue.  She peed on the couch today for no reason, she peed on my duvet the other day when I was making the bed.  She goes out regularly, is on a strict dry food diet that she has been on since she was 8 weeks old, and she goes to the bathroom in the house within 30 minutes after she has gone outside.  HElP ME PLEASE!!! I'm at the point where I don't want to deal with it anymore.

ANSWER: It is possible that it could be a health problem-so it might not hurt to have more tests as it could be something new or something that wasn't tested

This however is most likely jealousy, and the best way to fix this is to keep her in a crate at all times, except to take her outside,to feed her,to play with her and do this for about three weeks, and slowly let her out more, and if she makes more messes then back in the crate she goes for about ten days ect And crates work because dogs like to keep there sleeping areas clean

QUESTION: I agree that it is probably jealousy because she gets jealous of her sister and they will get into a physical altercation as a result.  Both pugs have been sick before and this does not seem like any of the times they were sick, which is why I thought she was suffering from additional behavioral problems.  I did want to point out that the classic theory that "dogs don't mess in their crate because they want to keep that area clean" has never been true for her.  Why could that be?

Answer
There are some dogs that crates do not seem to work for them, and no one really knows why,it may be that some dogs don't care about sleeping in a dirty spot

What works sometimes as well,is gate them or confine them to one room-in some dogs that seems to work better as well
