My Beagle just had bladder stone surgery

Hi Cindi,

My beagle mix just had bladder stone removal surgery. The vet wants me to feed her s/d prescription diet but I have had many people tell me to start feeding her raw. DO you have any suggestions? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

I would put her on something like Wellness or Natural balance, low protein, low ash,no grain.
No grain is VERY important. You can do raw if you want but it's much harder to regulate. Supplements,vitamin C, five hundred mgs break it into two doses,vitamin E, biotin, flax seed oil, Lots and LOTS of fluids, as much as you can get down her. Unsalted chicken broth, anything.
