standard poodle colors

Where I live; in the show ring, I see mostly blacks and whites with the occasional brown. I have a blue (darker than a sliver but lighter than a black/blue) male and I just wondered if this would help, or hinder him in the ring.

Riot Hello Trisha,
It shouldn't matter what color your dog is, as long as your dog is what the judge is looking for.  Does your dog have that want to win?  Is he correct for a Std Poodle?  If so, then you should have no problem.  

I also have a Blue (out of two Show Silver dogs).  He is of show quality, but I haven't shown him.  I showed his father, and his mother was a show dog with points, but he just enjoys being a Dog.  

I would love to see pics of your boy if you have any available.  
Below is a pic of my Blue boy, Riot at 9 months of age.  You can still see the Brown color in with his Silver.  
His grandmother is out of the Pinafore Silver dogs, as is his father.
