Question
Kim,
You provided detailed information to the question about getting the poodle retrained to potty #2 on the pee pads.  As I follow your guidelines to retrain, I was wondering if you could also take the dog on potty trips outdoors.  Would this slow or confused the dog on the process of getting her potty pad trained?

Thanks, Jenna

Answer
Hello Jenna,
Not at all, feel free to take her outside as well, and what you can do is take her potty pad outside with her at first to see if she will go on it outside.  Be consistant with the potty place, make it the same spot everytime and give her a word such as: "Potty Outside", or "Go to your Potty Place", so that she knows that she is suppose to potty there.  As usual, praise and a treat or two when she goes.
You can either continue to use the pads outside, or you can transition her to going on the ground.  To do this, all you need to do is use the pads outside and gradually use a smaller piece until she will go on the ground.

I am glad that you were able to use my advice in my previous post.  Again, feel free to ask me if you have other questions.
Kim
