Whimpering poodle

Hi our twelve month old female poodle is whimpering with her toy in her mouth and keeps running into her bed. Should I take her to the vet any ideas?

I would go ahead and take her to the Vet to rule out anything abnormal that might be contributing to this, but I don't really think that this is caused by something medical.  It sounds to me like she could be treating this toy as her "baby".  As to the whimpering, that is more of a mystery.  I have seen other dogs do similar things like this, with no apparent reason.  She could be acting protective over this toy, or could be "communicating" with it, or maybe is confused by its smell, etc.
