Bladder Control

Question
My name is Lacie. I have a toy Poodle that is six years old. I am away from home for about seven hours a day working. I have to roomates that live with me, nad they both work also. One works about eight hours, nad the other about ten hours. During the day he is at home by himself, out in a huge backyard that is fenced in. About five monthes agonoticed he started peeing in the house more. At that Time we had just remodeled the kitchen, so I pegged him down as just marking new terriotory, but he is still doing it. I read somewhere that some breeds of dogs have baladder control issues, and I was wondering if toy Poodles has this problem. Also I was wondering if they do if it sounds like I might need ot take my dog to the vet to have him tested. Thank you very much for your time.

Answer
Hi Lacie :-)

Nope Poodles don't have this problem hun but Poodles are very prone to nervous problems.

Because this has been going on for a few months I would take your Dog to the Vet and have her Kidney function checked and Liver function and also have a blood test performed to rule out Diabetes. If this all come out normal, speak to your Vet about her urinating in the house and see what they can advise.

Take care and all the best and please leave me a comment.
