Question
I have a female standard poodle. She is one yr. this month and one of the loves of my life. She is very sweet and i am thinking of getting her involved in therapy dog training as she has been through the puppy training already. Like i said she is very sweet and almost completely well behaved. Almost! She has this one really bad habit. If she is not put in a crate at night she poops in the house. Always in the kids room. That is not the worse of it though. When left unattended she has pooped in their beds! What is that?? How do we stop it? She is so wonderful in everything else I would like to fix this too.

Answer
If crating works, I would stick with it.  The dog may be
happier in its den than loose in the house.  It relaxes, it feels safe in its
den.  It rests, the body slows down reducing the need for water and relieving
its self.  Dogs that have been crated all along do very well.  Many of them
will rest in their crates even when the door is open.

Your Poodle could have a great advantage as a therapy dog.  They lack the dander that causes most dog allergies.  You may be able to work with people that otherwise might have to forgo a visit with a dog.  They are frequently used as service and guide dogs.
