are there parti poodles that are black

hello, i am wondering if it is possible to have a parti poodle that is all balck with one spot under their chin...or is it a mix?

I'd say it's very possible - the 'parti' means (at least I think) the dog is partially one color and partially another. Your dog could be a mix, but it is not improbable that it is a parti poodle.

Truthfully, many times mixes are healthier animals. The 'purebred' animal has often been overbred and the health problems common to a breed are magnified.  I've had both mixes and purebred poodles - love them both.

For a definitive answer as to whether your dog is a mix or a purebred and parti poodle, you may want to check with a local breeder of poodles, the AKC or a local vet to be sure.
