My Standard poodles teeth

Question
My standard poodle is about 8 months old and he started loosing his baby teeth when he was about 4 months old, but the other day when i was brushing his teeth I saw some small teeth coming into the roof of his mouth behind his teeth. Is this common for some dogs, or poodles? and I was also wondering even though these are small and just coming in will they fall out or will I  eventually need to get them removed?

Answer
Hello Margie,
These most likely aren't teeth coming in, but rather teeth that were there already and haven't come out yet.  The adult teeth have come in behind the baby teeth.  You should contact your Vet to have these baby teeth removed.  You can try to remove them yourself if they are loose, but chances are that they will need to be pulled by force.
I have seen this before and it is actually common.

I hope this helps you some.  If you have other questions for me, please feel free to ask.
