Toy Poodle Hip injury

My toy poodle was rolled over by a big dog this a.m. She ran yelping to the house a few feet away. The yelp was like she was scared but, the shaking lasted for an hour. The dog nosed her over in about a foot of soft snow and did not bite her. Just wanted to play. If I touch her top right hip she yelps and tries to bite me. She has stopped shaking the Vet is asking $300 for a visit plus extras -(nuts). Right now she is quiet and on her bed next to my computer like she does every day. The shaking has stopped and she only tries to nip me if I were to touch the area described.

Hello Mike,
Given the description of how your dog sustained her injuries, I would think that she is just feeling sore at the moment and will just need some time to rest.  If it really seems to bother her, you can give her 1/2 baby aspirin to help her.  Other than that, I would give her another day and a half or so.  
She was probably stressed out and that is why she was shaking after the nosing.
