he has lately been pooping and peeing in his kennel where he stays during the day   how do u stop this  im frustated

Answer
Hello Craig,
You might try scrubing the crate out good before putting him in it.  Dogs like to return to their smells they have done before.  Be sure to keep food out of the crate during the time he is in it (don't feed him while he is in the crate) and that he hasn't had anything for two hours before going in it.  Walk him before he goes in his crate and make sure that he goes.  If he doesn't potty before going in his crate, put him up for 5 minutes, then walk him again.
Wear an old tee shirt for a few days and leave it with him so that he has something with your scent on it.
Leave him one toy to play with and a small chewie or something for him to munch on to take up his time during his crate stay.
If you CAN come home during the day to let him out, this would be great, but if you can't its ok.  If you are able to come home, try to walk him or do something that will ware him out some, then have him potty before he goes back in his crate.

If nothing else helps, you might try using a Belly Band.  It is a wrap that goes around his belly (covering his penis) to catch any pee that he does.  Some dogs won't pee in the "diaper" because they don't like the wet feeling against their skin.
You can go to www.bellyband.com and check them out.

I hope this helps you some.  If you have other questions for me, please feel free to ask.
