Question
QUESTION: My 10week old mini poodle is shivering, whimpering, and panting. He started this just after jumping and being happy.

ANSWER: Hello Tom,
I would wait to see if this continues happening after playtime.  He could have just wore himself out.  If this continues happening after he plays or runs around, it could be a number of things.  Watch him for a few days.  If this continues his actions, let me know and you might also contact your Vet.
You might let your Breeder know also that he is acting this way and see if any of the other puppies he/she sold have acted this way.  Find out (first, before telling them of any issues) if they have a Health Guarntee on their dogs (most quality breeders do).

I wish I could be of more help, but without knowing more about your dog and seeing it personally, I can only guesstimate.

I hope this helps you some.  If you have other questions about this, or other Poodle questions in general, please feel free to ask me.

QUESTION: He's been doin this after about two hours of play time. What could be the cause?

Answer
Hey,
I have looked around on the net and haven't come up with much about this.  I don't think it is serious, but to be on the safe side, you might try limiting your dogs play for awhile.  He is only 10 weeks old so his body may not be ready for 2 hours worth of playing yet.  Play with him for about 30-45 min, then give him a rest and let him get a drink, potty, etc.  Then you can get him back out and play some more.  It could just be that he overdid it.
See if this helps.  If you still see him shaking and panting like that after a shorter time of play, let me know and I will do some more searching.

I hope this helps you some.
