Question
How does one acquire information in regards to cutting the tail after the
standard poodles birth?  Thank you

Answer
If you have never done it before then you should NEVER attempt to do it on your own.  Please take them to your vet and have them done.  Most vets will show you how to do them.  Or find a local show breeder that is willing to do them for you and help you learn. There are some people out there that just can not handle doing it.  So you should have someone else do it the first time so you can see if its something that you can handle.  You need to have the dew claws done at this time also.  I would have the tails marked at the length you want them docked which is usually 1/3-1/4 of the total lenght taken off.  When a puppy is stacked the tip of the tail should be even with the top of the head.
Puppies tails need to be done anytime from birth to 3 days of age so if your litter has already arrived you need to get them in and have them done ASAP.
