Poodle Jaw Quivering

Question
My Miniature Poodle's jaw quivers a few times every day (that I witness). This has been happening for about four months with the frequency increasing gradually to this current point. She is not "cold" when this happens so it has nothing to do with the environment's temperature. She is 15 years old but is still very active and loves to play and go for walks. She has a collapsing trachea and coughs frequently however, this is not concurrent with the jaw problem. My vet has prescribed Aminophyline and Enalapril for the collapsing trachea and I have been giving these meds to her. This has helped to decrease the coughing. This seems to be an odd problem. I appreciate any help that you can offer. Thank-you so much! Colleen, St.Paul, MN

Answer
I am sorry but I am not a vet and therefore can not diagnosis things like this.  I would be a bit worried about small seizures that can be limited to the face.  I would suggest talking in depth with your vet.  He may decide at her age that it is nothing to be worried about and he may decide to treat it to help prolong her quality of life in her old age.
