Question
my dog is 1 n half year old.my breeder said to me that dont give him pedogree.give him propac or venkiys realmeal.
i want to ask you that pedigree is really bad or good

Answer
Most dogs will thrive on most chows.  I have long puzzled over the way many condemn the common brands of chow when I see the well documented success of large, professionally managed programs feeding the common brands many dismiss as garbage.  If you aren't already feeding the Pedigree, you might try it.  Don't suddenly change, but make the switch over a week.  It may still take a while for the dog's body to settle down with the new chow.  If after a month, you dog is doing as well on it as on what it was eating before, continue, watching for problems such as a dull coat, loose bowels, itching, ear infections, etc.

Much of the advice on dog chows comes from people selling dog chows.  Some will say anything to sell their product.  There are dogs that are more food sensitive and require only certain chows.  Unfortunately, some breeders go ahead and use such poor choices for breeding stock, passing on the problems.  In such cases, you may have to go along with what the breeder says.  If you what the the breeder suggests expensive and hard to find, I see no reason no to try the Pedigree.  You can always go back.
