Lab not eating

Question
My 2 year old black lab isn't eating like she use to and seems very depressed. She is still very active and plays with our son and our other lab, but she is starting not to eat like she use too. If I say "lets go eat" her tail starts to wag and she get's very excitied. I will walk away after serving up their food, but then I will come back 20 minutes later and she either has a little bit left *which isn't like her* or she won't eat at all. If I put plain yogurt into her food at this point, she will eat it. Does she have an upset stomach or just being spoiled?

Answer
In most cases if a dog doesn't eat, it is either sick or over fed.  In either case, bribing it with rich food isn't the answer.  If she is showing some other unexplained behaviors, a vet visit would be a good idea.  Ask about her weight too.

Go to http://www.puppychow.com/products/popup_body_condition.aspx  If she is too heavy, cut back on what you are feeding her.  Keep adjusting what you are feeding her until she holds her ideal body weight.
