limping puppy

our new 13 wk lab puppy Jack got tackled by our 2yr old black lab Harley, he was favoring his front left leg 2 nights ago, the next morning he didn't want to walk on it..only whines when he changes positions ..no swelling, lets us manipulate the leg and only whines when we push the shoulder area...is it sprained?..we are very low on money and the x-ray fees are high..what can we do?

Dogs do get sprains and so forth.  I would let it go over the weekend and see how he is.  If he is slowly getting better, I would let it go.  These things can take time to heal.  At 13 weeks, will he be back for shots soon?  Mention it to the vet at that time.  

On another site there is a discussion about medical question on the net.  Frankly, I would like to tell many people to get the dog the vet you stupid cheapskate.  I think your question is a good example of a judgement call where somebody needs a little guidance from somebody with more experience.
