change of pup food habit

QUESTION: Hi jen,
My lab pup is now 2 months old.Last two months i had been feeding her babyfood(lactogen+cerelac).Now I want to change her food habit to solid food like cereals,veg,pulses,fruits & nv atleast once or twice a day.
Is it the right time to do so?
I tried with pureed rice mixed with milk to start with but she refused to have it and only licked up the milk from the mixture.
Kindly guide to do the same.

ANSWER: I recommend buying a balanced Dog food.  I am not sure of the brands available in India.  Once you have bought that, you can add some warm water to the kibble and let it get soft, and the pup should eat that.

QUESTION: Different people have different opinion on type of dog food.Some says that dogs are canine and they should regularized with meat in their menu while others say that its wise to go vegetarian as veg habit(of course with proper proteins,vitamins carbs and fibres) will keep her safe from many physical problem.Moreover veg food will keep her free from flees and body odor.
How far its true %26 what's your opinion on this.

Dogs are carnivores and should eat meat, not a vegetarian diet.  I have never heard of there being any benefit to feeding a dog a vegetarian diet.  If you want to feed a non-commercial diet, that's fine, but you will need to fully educate yourself on how to do that.  I do not feed a home-made diet.  I feed a commercially available kibble, supplemented with additional fresh meat.  

My opinion is that you either need to educate yourself on how to feed a proper NON vegetarian diet for your dog or buy a balanced dog food suitable for your animal.
