Lab Spaz Attacks

Question
Every so often our 2 yr old male yellow lab will have an attack. He falls to the ground and starts shaking all over, jaws are clinched tight, drewling (not foaming) from the mouth, and his eyes are fixed straight ahead.  He cannot stand during these attacks and they last for about 5 minutes. It's like he has mad cow or something.  We had a 7 year old chocolate die from similar systems a few summers ago.  I thought it was heat related, but this latest attack on our yellow lab happened when it was cold and he was not working hard. I'm really getting worried that it may be something environmental, which could be impacting our kids and we just don't know it yet.  Any thoughts?

Answer
Oh my i am very sorry to hear that you have lost a dog to this and now this one has this also. These sounds like seizers thouand you should take him into a good vet and tell him of his episodes, seeziers from what I have read and seen on tv vet programs are just like your talking about, it can mean there is a tumar within the brian causing the body to seaze or many other things for his sake and your take him in right away.
