Is it too early to have a 4 month old labrador spade?

Answer
There have been some well done studies showing little difference between 4 months and the traditional 6 months.  Six months is plenty early to head off being stuck with her going through her season.  Unless you have a good reason otherwise, I would go with what your vet is most comfortable with.
