Question
Hi, I believe my lab is pregnant. We have an appointment on monday, I'm not ready for this, either financially or emotionally. I love "Raven" to death and only want the best for her. I don't know who the male is. Is it wrong to terminate the pregnancy? The last thing I want is for there to b unwanted pets out there. Am I being responsible? Or am I wrong to do so?

Answer
This is definitely something you need to discuss with your vet and what options there are.  The vet needs to determine if the dog is indeed pregnant, then how far along, and I am not sure what their rules/procedures are for ending the pregnancy.  I honestly believe the best thing for you to do at this time, is to have the vet take care of this.  They WILL spay her and that would have been the true responsible thing to do when the dog was 6 months of age.  But the dog will not have those puppies and with not knowing who the father is, this will be the MOST responsible thing to do.
