Question
hi....
My name is Ronak. I have just purchased a new yellow
Labrador. I am purely vegetarian. Even an egg  is
prohibited. If I don't give him any non-vegetarian food or
an egg so it causes any problem to my dog. I also don't
want to give him non-vegetarian food.

Answer
It isn't easy, but possible to feed a dog a healthy diet with no meat or egg.  I can't even begin to give you a plan.  Even using meat and eggs, it is very difficult to fix a good homemade diet.  There are vegetarian dog foods available, but I don't have a source.  Finding one could be as easy as checking the ads here.  If you are willing to compromise a little on the meat, the regular Purina dog food is corn based and has very little meat in it.  It is widely available, inexpensive, and provides the good diet dogs need.  Young, growing puppies must have a good diet.

Again, home made diets aren't good, but I think this link includes links to homemade diets at the end that may include vegetarian ones, http://www.avma.org/press/releases/070404_homemade_diets.asp
