ear infextion

i was wondering..our vet says that
out 4 month old 50 lbs lab is getting an ear infection with
eukenuba(spl?) and we were wondering if u think that would be true..and if u have
any advise on the best food brand to keep our pup healthy we'd really
appreciate it.

I highly doubt the Eukanuba is a problem.  Most dogs will thrive on most chows, although there isn't any brand that works best for all dogs.

The program I am in feeds Pro Plan.  Of the thousands of dogs in the program, I never heard of one having to switch chows due to ear infections.  Similar programs are very successful feeding Iams.

There are kooks around that insist the chows most dogs thrive on are unhealthy, that you must feed chows using human grade, additive free, or organic ingredients.  There are no controlled studies to back those ideas.  If that is what your vet is suggesting, I would find one that bases his treatments on science.
