Black Lab Mange

We have a roughly 2 yr old male black lab who it seems has mange.  He is losing hair and itching excessively.  I have dipped him in LymDip once and will again today.  We have the LymDip from when our blue heeler puppy had mange following her arrival at our house from the breeder.  The lab didn't start the itching until at least 2 months later.  Should I take him to the vet or continue treating him the way I have?  Thank you in advance for your help.

Medical problems is not my strongest area.  Usually I refer people to their vet.  In this case, you might wait until you see if he is responding to the treatment as quickly as the Blue Heeler did.  You might treat her too just to make sure they don't keep cross infecting each other.  If he doesn't respond, better check with the vet.  You might workat sterilizing their bedding and other places the disease might be.
