Question
We have a 5 yr. old male labrador retriever. This dog is always trying to hump me(only me). Everyone thinks this is funny but it is really bad. He is 120 lbs. and I can't keep him away from me. I've gotten to where I have to hit him with a fly swatter and scream at him to get him away from me. He is destroying my house trying to get to me. He chews up everything of mine. He does this for hours and hours everyday. When I get up from a chair he has to lick it, When I go in another room and close the door, he whines and whines so much that my husband starts screaming at him. By the end of the night, we're both worn out. People have said to mate him and he will calm down, but that made things worse. Please help

Answer
The sooner you neuter him the better.  Ask the vet about doing the people that told you to mate him too.  We have so many dogs with behavior problems due to ignorant people allowing dogs with problems to breed.  Disregard any other advice those people give you.

Neutering is just the first step.   The key to most behavior problems is approaching things using the dog's natural instincts.  Dogs see all the people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in the pack and a top dog.  Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members outrank the 4 legged ones.  You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat. Start at http://www.dogsbestfriend.com/
