teats

Hi I have just rescued a 3 year old bitch, she had a litter of pups approx 4 months ago.  Her teats are still very large and swollen, will they reduce in size and if so when? Thank you.

I have heard there is some limited help, but they will never go down to like a dog that was spayed before her first season.  I am sorry, but I don't remember what I have heard.  They maybe about as small as they will get. You might try some books on breeding.  Also, there is a ton of good info starting at http://www.woodhavenlabs.com/articles.html#breeding  I have found the Woodheaven site much more reliable than much of the net.  Any kook can set up a website fill it with garbage.  Your vet may have some help too.
