blockhead

hi!  we are in the processes of choosing a lab puppy and really like the look of the blockhead.  both parents of the puppy we want are english, but neither has an extremely blockyhead... does this mean that our puppy will not have a blockhead?  is the blockhead genetic?  how can we tell what our puppy will look like as an adult?

Hello Congrats on the new puppy. A block headed puppy will genrally have a high forehead like an adult blockheaded labrador....my lab has a low forehead and she had a low forehead as a puppy...its normaly very easy to tell blocks from lows when they are just puppies. but because the parents dont have nice blockheads the puppies likely wont.
