My labs size.

Question
I just recently got a chocolate male. His mom was short and petite and his dad
was rather large. I was wondering if there is a way to tell if he will have the short
legs or the long legs at an early age.

Answer
I have hear a number of rules, all different, and none of them work.

Somebody else included this link in their question tonight, http://jn.nutrition.org/cgi/content/full/134/8/2027S  My personal experience is that Labs level of sooner.  However, that maybe because mine have all been on the small size.

What I can say for sure is keep him lean and switch him to adult chow at 4 months if you want strudy joints for a lnger active life.  Reaching the full adult size later is a small price to pay for that.
