Adult size?

Question
Hi.  I have an almost 9 month old American yellow lab who is on the small side.  She's about 45 lbs and stands about 20" tall.  Her mom was 75 lbs and her dad was 95 lbs.  She doesn't look underweight - if anything she could probably lose a pound or two.  At what age does a lab reach their full size?  She was the last pup there when we picked her up so not sure if we got the "runt" of the litter.

Also, do you have any tips for slowing down eating?  She's down in about a minute.  I even got one of the bowls that has nubs in the middle. But she still eats too fast.

Answer
None of our 16 labs grew very much after 9 months.  It does vary, see  http://jn.nutrition.org/cgi/content/full/134/8/2027S  Some continue their slow growth into their second year.

There are not one, but 2 easy, tested, effective ways to control rapid eating. You can spread the food out on a cookie sheet or something. Some of my friends just throw it on the floor of the crate. You can put large rocks in the food dish, much to big to swallow. Either way, the dog can't gulp down one big mouthful after another.
