Question
I have a wonderful 3 1/2 month old charcoal lab who I adore. She is doing very well with housetraining, but when I leave her in her crate (even just for a few minutes)I come back and the crate is wet. I thought she was just urinating in the crate, but I am beginning to wonder if she is vomiting up water. This happens at all times of the day, not just after eating/drinking. I know she can go for at least 3 hours without urinating, so I am at a loss.Is it possible that she hears our truck pulling into the garage and gets excited and throws up? I have had Labs before and I have only seen them throw up water after they have drank a lot and then run around excitedly.
Thanks for your help!
Leslie

Answer
I would start with a vet check.  It sounds like the stress of being left alone.  Try leaving her a Kong filled with peanut butter.  Freeze it to make it last longer.

You can buy or make a grid to hold the puppy up off the floor of the crate.  One will not solve the problem, but make it easier to live with.  I use one to start with a new puppy.
