The pool and kids

Question
I have a  female chocolate lab Spayed that is 71/2 years and very active.

How do I stop my lab from wanting to save my niece and nephew in the pool.  My lab goes into panic mode every time they go into the pool especially when they jump in. She is allowed in the pool and loves to swim around and doesn't have a problem when I am swimming but once the kids are there she turns into a lifeguard.  This weekend she scratched my nephew when trying to "save" him. He was fine.  If I take her out of the pool she fight me to get back to them.  She even started biting the gate to get back to them.  Once they are away from the pool she is fine.

Answer
I don't have a good answer to that, and there may not be one.  You could try to elevate their status by having them do obedience drills with her.  If she has to sit when they say sit, she may decide they can take care of themselves in the pool.  Maybe not, but I can't think of anything else.

Reminds me of our friend's dog guide dragging a girl out of the school when they were working on the fire alarm and it went off.
