Are block head labs known to be more aggressive?  Our neighbor has a block head lab and it has attacked 3 dogs in the neighborhood.

Answer
No, that isn't true at all.  Most Labs, blockhead or not, are good tempered and unaggressive.  However, the young ones want to play rough, which could be mistaken for aggression.  That can be a problem with older dogs that aren't interested in that.  I hope the owner isn't letting him run loose.  If so, don't feel guilty about calling animal control.  The owner, not you are the bad guy.
