Lab Biting and Nipping

Question
My wife and I have a lab puppy now 12 weeks old. At times my wife will be on the couch and the dog will come and try to jump and bite her face or she will be laying on the couch with him and he will just try to get at her face. We both have tried to put him in his crate, turn him onto his back and even put him in the hold you talked about in an article. However none of this seems to help. Any suggestions? Also he has recently started to growl at my wife.

Thanks.

Answer
Some dogs are much more difficult than others.  You must continue to correct him every time he shows aggression.  Work on obedience.  Also, when you go through a door way, make him sit while you go through first.  Make him sit until you put his food dish down.  You need to continually remind him you are in control.  He never gets what he wants until he does it your way.
