QuestionWe have a 21 month old chocolate lab that urinates more than I have ever seen a dog urinate. He gets water when he eats in the morning and in the evening and a little in between. He also drinks when he is swimming, which is once a day at the most. He just started going in the house. He has been house trained for quite a long time. He had gone on our couch, bed, carpet and huge puddles on the hard wood floors. I took a urine sample to the vet and they really did not find anything. A slight raise in his wide blood cell count. They put him on antibiotics for a bladder infection. He has been on the medication since Friday. Last night I took him out around 10 pm. This morning I got out of the shower around 6:30 a.m. to find that he had urinated a huge puddle downstairs and all around the floor down stairs, up the stairs and into my bedroom.
I can't believe this is normal. He is the sweetest dog. I absolutely love him, but he is ruining my house. What can I do? Also, if you have a suggestion what to use to get rid of the urine smell from my floors. I am having my couch and carpets professionally cleaned, after I cleaned them myself.

AnswerI would continue to work with the vet. That isn't normal and surely has a physical cause.
Let me paste in some material.
First blot up all the urine you can with a dry towel. Keep moving it and stepping on it until a fresh area stays dry. Many people like vinegar and water to clean up. Others use an enzyme product such as Simple Solution.
