Question

Koko Do you have photos of chocolate lab puppies. I have been given a puppy that they said she is 5 months old. She is a nice girl, but has my arms bruised and scratched from jumping up. But, I was wondering how old she is. My son got her from someone who left her in a outdoor kennel. Is she still able to be trained. She barely knows any words. Not too great in walking, playing or training. She looks a lot older, but I not sure how old she is. Thank you very much for helping me out to find Koko's age.

I am not sure pictures would help much. 5 months is about the time her canine teeth would be coming in. I think you should get her into a vet for a check up and shots. If she was neglected, likely she didn't her shots. As long as she is healthy and gets her shots now, she should be fine. The vet will know what to look for on her teeth and can make a good estimate of her age.

I think the earlier you start teaching obedience, the better, but many people wait until 5 months. You may want to look into taking a class.
