Dog Licking

My 11 month old yellow lab has liked or bit a ring around bilateral front legs. Why..?How do I stop it?

Could be a nervous condition if the dog has a high strung personality.  Could be a skin issue like a fungus or mange or even allergies.  

You might want to keep a close eye on the dog and see if you can discourage it from licking first off and put a little neosporin on the area.  Also try to determine if the area is red or irritated from anything other than the licking.  If trying to get it to stop doesn't work or if you see something on the skin, it probably would be best to have a vet look at it.
