do dogs get mosquito bites like we do?

I had a question, my lab. is outside around lots of mosquitos flying around her and i'm just wondering if mosquitos happen to bite her? I rarely see her sratching so i figure they don't bite but i'm just curious?

They CAN bite dogs, but I don't know if they get the same kind of welts on their body like humans do.

Please make sure that if you live in an area where there are alot of mosquitos that your dog is on monthly heartworm preventative.  Mosquitos carry heartworm and when they bite, they transfer the parasite to your dog.  This is a serious illness if your dog contracts it.
