Duration of pregnancy

We have a yellow lab that came into heat two weeks before Thanksgiving.  Before we noticed that she was in heat our neighbors dog had dug a hole into her pin.  Now, we are expecting!!  I am writing to find out how long yellow labs are pregnant and what is the normal number of puppies that they have.  Thank you,   mandy

All dogs have an average of 63 days.  Labs often have large litters, maybe 10.  I do hope you have had a vet examine her.  There is much more to it than just letting her have the litter.  Get a book and maybe more.  something from the library would be OK.  For starters see http://www.woodhavenlabs.com/articles.html#breeding

I do hope you get her spayed when the vet will do it.
