eyes

My wife and I are have a question we hope you can shed some light on.WE have a friend who has a papered chocolate lab. This lab has golden eyes like a wimerener.  We have some other friends that just got a lab woes mom and dad both have papers,and he has golden eyes also .Our question is why do they have golden eyes ,is this normal for the breed.Please help use to understand what is up with all the colors of lab eyes .thank you very much ..please help use

The genetics of Labs' coat and eye color is complicated.  Yellow eyes may be the most common color in the chocolates.  I know http://www.woodhavenlabs.com/articles.html has a discussion of coat color.  It may discuss eyes too.  I see many more black and yellow Labs than chocolates.  They mostly have brown eyes.
