Is my friends puppy sick?

My friend has a 7 week old blk lab mix.  I've always heard that dogs noses are supposed to be wet.  Is that true?  Her dogs nose is dry except it is running.  Does she probably have a cold or something.  I am trying to get her to take her puppy the the Vet. A.S.A.P.

Lab's noses CAN be dry, its not a good sign if the dog's nose is hot though. So if the dog's nose does not feel like fever hot the dog is healthy, but if the dog has a hot nose it may have come down with a cold and for a puppy to have a cold its not to good, and it be wise for your friend to take her to the vet.
