Question
Max is my first black lab I've ever owned. He is 7 months old in 3 days he weighs about 55lbs My qestion is is there a way to tell how tall he is going to get. He is 22 inces from the floor and 51 inches from the top of his head to the tip of his tail. Is he normal size for his age and how much more growth is he going to do.

Answer
At that age most of our labs have leveled off but may grow another inch or 2 by a year.  Check the ends of the leg bones.  If they are still much knobbier than an adult's, the growth plates are still open and it is still growing.  If not, do not expect much more growth.

Also this one, http://www.longliveyourdog.com/twoplus/RateYourDog.aspx  As their growth levels off, so does the amount of food they need.  You may need to cut back a little to maintain good, lean body condition.
