My Lab doesnt bark at all!!

My 2 year old yellow Lab doesn't bark at all...is a very friendly, happy and playful dog but the other day I heard him growl/bark a bit when he was fast asleep Is that normal? All the dogs that I have seen or known bark, why doesn't my dog bark?

Not all labs bark.  Be thankful yours doesn't.  I have a few that are barkers, and they are annoying.  Our first lab didn't bark until he was nearly 2!  

The growling/barking in sleep is just dreaming and that's normal.  

Your dog basically hasn't found a need to bark or growl when he's awake.  That's OK!
